Waltham Abbey based firm of Chartered Surveyors and Commercial Agents and

Michael first association with golf was in the mid 1950’s when a friend told
him he could earn as much for one round caddying as he was earning for a
weeks paper round (5 shillings). The following week he attended the West

(that member was the very well known Dingy Bell). He had a very enjoyable
time caddying and became the regular caddy of one of the best young golfers
in the Club and travelled the South of England to the major golf clubs with
his employer.
Michael recalls one Sunday he was called into action when Essex were playing
a home match against Middlesex at West Essex and he was asked to caddy for a
Middlesex player. As luck would have it he was to play Sir Michael Bonallack
and not only that he managed to beat him 2 and 1.
