Essex Matchplay Final
Clacton Golf Club, 16thSeptember 2018
The Essex Matchplay final was played on the Essex Golf Union finals day at Clacton Golf Club between Spencer Moore (Stapleford Abbotts) and James Henderson (Benton Hall). With both players having fought their way through to the final from the original 94 entrants, a tightly contested final was in prospect over a challenging and breezy Clacton course.
In the end James Henderson prevailed with a 4 & 3 victory and is pictured being presented with the Allan Lockwood Matchplay Trophy by President Elect of the Essex Golf Union, Brian Collins.

The Final of the Essex Matchplay Championship 2018 will be played on County Finals Day, Sunday 16th September 2018.
If you reach the Quarter Final stage and find that for some reason you are not available to play in the Final, it will be in the best interest of the Competition that you withdraw. In such case please contact me at the County Office.
