A very good result by the players, some making their U14s debuts. Most of the team were at the venue early and were keen and eager to play. The new players were handed their county caps, which they quickly put on and appeared to be very proud to be wearing them.
The match was played under a handicap format, instead of scratch, due to the big differences in handicaps between the two (2) counties. The games were played in a very friendly and competitive manner. Most of the games were close and could have gone either way.
Essex came out on top 6-2, to retain the Anglia trophy.
